Partners

The participants of the exchange are from Italy, France,
Portugal, Czech Republic and England. There will be 1
group leader/country and 5 participants from each country,
so 30 on total. Participants are 18-25 aged. No age limit for group leaders.

Czech Republic

Stredisko volneho casu Ivancice is a centre for leisure time activities. It provides a special – interest education and services in the area of upbringing, education and edification for the general public. It works with children, youth, adults and seniors. It prepares for them hobby groups, occasional and open events, holiday and spontaneous activities. It establishes Youth club and Information Youth Centre.It cooperates with schools, media and other organizations and subjects in town Ivancice and in the region.It is a guarantee of competitions, a regional coordinator of education and actions. It participates in national and international projects. It hostes EVS volunteers from 2009. It has a long-standing tradition, it was estabished in 1984.

France

Itineraire International is non- profit organization,founded in 1995 with the aim to promote international mobility towards young adults aged 18 to 30,whatever qualifications or experience they have.We consider that international mobility is an important step of their social and professional integration.Our organization also seeks to raise awareness among govermental organizations,public institutions and actors of the private sector about the value that international mobility brings to youth.

Portugal

Desincoop – Desenvolvimento Economico, Social e Cultural is a Service producers’ cooperative, formally created in May, 2005, based in Guimarães, north of Portugal. The cooperative was formed primarily to meet the needs for a set of people with experience but due to age feeling more difficulty in obtaining some stability in labor market. ln a second phase Desincoop promotes stages to persons trying to find the first job and help them giving experience for example in European projects such Leonardo, Grundtvig, Progress. The underlying philosophy of this cooperative is the total adhesion of its members, collaborators and volunteers (22)to cooperative principles. The corporate purpose of its activity is to provide services in economic, social and cultural area .lts main activities are: Elaboration of studies; Elaboration of projects and requests for financial aid; Training and professional guidance; Civil, social or cultural interventions; lmage consultancy. All Desincoop’s collaborators have a Professional Skills Certificate and experience as trainers. Desincoop has specialists in the field of arts and creative activities. ln all our events we have the participation of young volunteers. Regarding our experience as hosting organisation we are developing a tourism project, targeted to disadvantaged populations in particular, youth having great difficulty to access the job market,in partnership with a French organisation. Last year we have prepared a non-formal study visit for 20 young trainees in the theme “Awareness Ecotourism” and received them during a week. We are convinced that the fact of Guimaraes be European Capital of Culture in 2012 and Braga the European Capital of Youth in the same year give us an opportunity, during the next two years, to develop new forms or themes with the special participation of youngsters more sensitive to the principles of sustainable development.

England

ELSA was formed in 2005. We are a law student association. All members share a common goal in wanting to make a difference to the society we live in. We feel  that being young should not be a barrier to effecting change. The association is run by students. We organise outreach programmes to school children, volunteering with human rights organisations, seminars, study visits and exchanges. We are non political and not-for-profit.
